Dr. Venkata Kishore Kothapudi is an accomplished academician, researcher, and industry expert specializing in RF, microwave, and radar engineering, with nearly two decades of experience in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems and SATCOM applications. Currently an Associate Professor at Vignan’s Foundation for Science, Technology, and Research, Dr. Kothapudi has contributed to advanced antenna design, RF systems, and radar technologies. He holds a Ph.D. in RF and Microwave Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology, where he focused on multi-frequency, dual-polarized shared-aperture antenna arrays. His industry experience includes key roles as an RF Engineer at Astra Microwave Products and ECIL, where he worked on high-frequency T/R modules, power amplifiers, and radar systems.

Soundarya Korlapati is a Senior Research Engineer for Retail Applications at the Auburn University RFID Lab, a research institute at the forefront of the business case and technical implementation of RFID and emerging technologies across retail, supply chain, and manufacturing. Specializing in UHF RFID systems, retail inventory analytics, and supply chain visibility, her work bridges research and industry through product development and end-to-end traceability initiatives with leading industry partners. Nuno Borges Carvalho (S’97–M’00–SM’05-F’15) was born in Luanda, Angola, in 1972. He received the Diploma and Doctoral degrees in electronics and telecommunications engineering from the University of Aveiro, Aveiro, Portugal, in 1995 and 2000, respectively. He is currently a Full Professor and a Senior Research Scientist with the Institute of Telecommunications, University of Aveiro. He coauthored Intermodulation in Microwave and Wireless Circuits (Artech House, 2003). He has been a reviewer and author of over 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
