EXCITING NEWS FOR IEEE JRFID (2023)

Announcement: Exceptional Results for IEEE Journal on Radio Frequency Identification (JRFID)

Editor-in-Chief: Prof. Paolo Nepa, University of Pisa, Pisa, Italy

We are thrilled to announce that the IEEE Journal on Radio Frequency Identification (JRFID) has achieved remarkable success and outstanding metrics, solidifying its position as a leading publication in the field of Radio Frequency systems for automatic identification, low-cost sensing, accurate localization and navigation, IoT and sensor networks implementation, digital twin solutions and blockchain for supply chain.

JRFID is the flagship journal of the IEEE Council on Radio Frequency Identification (CRFID). Since its establishment in 2017, JRFID has been dedicated to disseminate cutting-edge research and fostering innovation in the domain of radio frequency identification. We are proud to share that the last available Cite Score for JRFID stands at an impressive 4.4. Additionally, JRFID has received its official Impact Factor, standing at an impressive 3.1.

JRFID has also excelled in publication timeliness, as evidenced by the following results from the IEEE PSPB report for Q1 2023:

  • Average weeks from submission for review to first decision: 5.2 weeks
  • Average weeks from submission for review to publication in IEEE Xplore: 12.8 weeks

These impressive figures reflect the commitment to prompt and efficient publication processes, while maintaining rigorous peer review standards.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Editor-in-Chief (EiC) Prof. Paolo Nepa, the past EiC Prof. George Xiao, and the entire JRFID Editorial Board for their excellent work and contributions. Their dedication has been crucial in achieving above milestones.

Moving forward, JRFID remains dedicated to advance the field of radio frequency identification and fostering collaboration among researchers, practitioners, and industry experts. We invite you to submit your groundbreaking research to JRFID and be a part of this thriving community.

Since 2023, JRFID moved to the new IEEE submission system for authors, IEEE Author Portal. For any questions you may have please contact the Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Paolo Nepa, University of Pisa, Pisa, Italy: paolo.nepa@unipi.it

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the success of JRFID. We look forward to continue excellence and further achievements in the future.

Sincerely,

IEEE CRFID
