Advancing RFID Localization and Measurement for the Intelligent Systems of Tomorrow Alice Buffi is an Associate Professor at the University of Pisa and a Senior Member of IEEE, internationallyrecognized for her contributions to RFID-based localization, measurement, and applied electromagnetics. Her research pioneers advanced measurement methods to detect and localize static and moving objects,agents, and people through ultra-high-frequency (UHF) RFID systems. By bridging electromagnetics, sensingtechnologies, and intelligent data processing, her work enables transformative applications in Industry 4.0and Industry 5.0, safety-critical environments, and smart agriculture. Her expertise also spans smart gatesand storage systems, battery ageing analysis, wireless power transfer, and electromagnetic compatibility.
