Call for Nominations – IEEE CRFID Elections

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

The IEEE Council on RFID seeks nominations for volunteer council officers serving two-year terms beginning on 1 January 2027.

 

Secretary/Treasurer:

Be responsible for all reports, petitions, and records concerning the Council; keeping true and faithful minutes of all Council meetings; and preparing reports required by the Council, TAB, or the IEEE Executive Committee.

  • Announce the time, place, and agenda of AdCom and ExCom meetings, record attendance, and establish/discern quorum.
  • Retain copies of all meeting notices, minutes, and correspondence sent and received during the previous two years (except those assigned to others), and send archive copies to IEEE Headquarters.
  • Manage the expense reporting process for the Council.
  • Serve as a member of the Finance Committee, and as a signatory on conference bank accounts opened under IEEE Concentration Banking.

Vice President of Membership:

  • Provide guidance and oversight for all member services, including chapter creation, support, and funding.
  • Manage and promote the Distinguished Lecturer (DL) travel and presentation program in consultation with the VP of Technical Activities.
  • Oversee council educational activities and the ambassadors program.

Associate Vice-President of Publications: 

  • Support their respective VP of Publications in the performance of their duties.
  • Serve on the corresponding standing committee
  • This is a leadership-developing position that does not carry a formal vote on the council.

2. Service and record in the general IEEE

he Council seeks diverse applications across all members and all geographic regions.

All candidates should be hard-working, engaged volunteers who can attend regular monthly

Executive Committee meetings as well as semi-annual Advisory Committee meetings.
